The Magnifique I will have a capacity of max. 32 guests in 16 cabins. Twelve twin cabins (approx. 11 m²) with two single beds; four junior suites (approx. 15 m²) have two single beds set next to each other as a hotel style bed.
All beautifully decorated cabins are on lower deck and have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, a mini-safe and a hair-dryer; the windows can not be opened for security reasons.

The upper deck has a tastefully furnished salon with a restaurant area, a nice bar and a lounge area with sitting corners, air-conditioning, TV and large panoramic windows. Wi-Fi is available. Large glass doors open to the beautiful partially roofed teak wood sundeck with chairs and tables between the salon and the wheelhouse. Bicycles are stored on the front deck.

Cochem to Metz, the last trip of the season. The trip routes were scenic and enjoyable. Distances to be covered were reasonable for relaxed touring with well-spaced comfort stops. Both tour guides were excellent: knowledgeable and enthusiastic and always willing to help. The ‘extra’ experiences were very enjoyable. The food was overall high quality. However, the breakfasts lacked the hot food selection of past trips. This made the choices for breakfast and lunch almost the same for the entire trip. Cheese and cold cuts sandwiches every day. Overall, the experience of the trip was still very positive. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. We always felt well cared for. The Magnifique I was not as spacious as the Magnifique III. The cabin lacked the shelving along the walls and the closet was too small for the clothes hangers. The deck wasn’t as spacious and lacked the lounging area around the stern.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent trip from Cochem to Metz. It s great to hear that you enjoyed the scenic routes, the manageable cycling distances, and the effort of the guides. Your positive words about the team and the overall experience are much appreciated. We understand your point regarding the breakfast options and the cabin layout on the Magnifique I. We will certainly take your comments into account as we continue to improve the experience for our guests. We hope to welcome you on board again in the future! Kind regards, Boat Bike Tours
I can t speak highly enough of my recent Boat Bike tour down the Moselle. Staff and guides were fabulous, cabin was really comfortable and roomy and food was exceptional.
Thank you for the lovely review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time aboard of the Magnifique I! Kind regards, Boat Bike Tours
While the weather was not our friend, our guides and captain never missed a beat. Changes in plans were made quickly and looked effortless. Thanks to the staff’s experience and attitude, the boat was a happy home during our tour.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a fantastic experience. We re so grateful for your recommendation and hope to welcome you back on board in the future! Kind regards, Boat Bike Tours
“Overall Comments The scenery was amazing, our junior suite very nice. However, we didn’t have air conditioning for two days, so the great crew improvised with a portable system. On the evening we were getting packed up to go home, the plumbing system backed up and our room was flooded. The bikes were in great shape. The food amazing. The captain and entire crew were gracious and kind. I’d like to suggest to the bike ride leaders, that on the first night they find out who has never ridden before. I sustained a very bad fall – due to the fact that people weren’t calling out “”stop”” “”slowing””,””turning””, etc. With 16 bikes in a row, you just can’t anticipate what is going on. Maybe the less skilled riders could go with one leader for first couple of days until they learn the etiquette of riding.”
Thank you for your detailed feedback and the positive comments about the scenery, the food, and the crew. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience with the air conditioning and the plumbing issue. That s definitely not the experience we aim to provide, but we re glad the crew did their best to resolve it as much as possible. We re sorry to hear about your fall, and we appreciate your suggestion to pay extra attention to participants cycling experience. What you mention about cycling etiquette is certainly something to consider. Could you explain a bit more about what you mean by cycling etiquette? As you pointed out, this might differ from country to country. In the Netherlands, for example, you don t hear this as often, but we understand the situation can be different depending on the riders experience. It is indeed important for every participant to be responsible for where they ride and how fast they go, and we always encourage everyone to stay aware of their own safety and that of others. Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you back in the future for an improved experience.
