The ship β Your sailing hotel
In between cycling excursions, you cruise along with the ship, which travels to a new destination every day. You will sleep and have breakfast and 1 warm meal on board. Depending on the program, this will be lunch or dinner. The other meal is ashore (not included). Itβs possible to spend a day on board if you like. There are rental E-bikes or gravel bikes on board.
Individual arrival to Bodrum. A collective transfer from Bodrum Airport to the harbor is available for an additional price on request. Check-in on the Gullet begins at 4 pm. Take the opportunity to take your first dip in the sea. In the evening, a shared dinner on board can be enjoyed in the company of your travel companions and tour guides.
Day 2 Bodrum β KΓΆrmen β Knidos

In the early morning, we leave for our first sailing trip of the week which brings us from Bodrum to Kârmen. Once we arrive, we hop on our bikes for our first cycling tour, along the Datça peninsula. The first ascent takes us to a height of 450m before we head back down to the sea. On a clear day it is possible to see the Greek islands Nisyros, Tilos and Rhodes. A scenic road leads first along the coast and then through more rural areas, before taking us to Knidos. After visiting the impressive archaeological site, we stay in one of the most picturesque bays on the Turkish coast.
Day 3 Knidos β SerΓ§e LimanΔ± β Γiftlik

In the morning we have plenty of time to relax on our way to a small bay at the peak of the Bozburun Peninsula. A secluded mountain road takes us to a mountain village located at 300m above sea level, home to a 1,500-year-old plane tree and a lively bazar that is well worth a visit. A short walk around the plane tree is said to ensure a long and lucky life. After lunch we continue to the bay of Γiftlik by bike where there is enough time to enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea.
Day 4 Γiftlik β Ekincik β Kaunos

During breakfast we cross over to the little harbour of Ekincik, the starting point of todayβs bike ride. After crossing the pass with its spectacular views, we reach the shore of Lake KΓΆycegiz, where we have the opportunity to enjoy a healing mud bath close to Sultaniye. After cycling through another small pass, we reach the mouth of the Dalyan River. From here we hop on a small boat for a 30 minute cruise past the impressive Lycian rock-cut tombs overlooking the Dalyan delta to our boat which waits on anchor near a small rocky island.
Day 5 Kaunos β Dalaman β Sarsala Bay

After breakfast the boat brings us close to the ancient city of Kaunos, the first destination of todayβs bike tour. Once directly on the seaside and an important port town, the harbour now lies 8km from the coast. Only the ruins are silent witnesses of the former wealth of the city. After visiting the site, we continue on by bike. We cross the fertile Dalaman plains with their cotton fields and orchards and take a well-deserved break in a tea house in Dalaman. After crossing a small pass, we reach the beautiful bay of Sarsala, where we can already spot the ship from afar.
Day 6 Gemiler Bay β Fethiye

After breakfast the boat sails past numerous small islands before reaching Gemiler. Also known as the island of St. Nicolas, a church was built here for the saint in the 5th century. Back on the mainland our bike ride takes us through a pine forest to the 1922 abandoned Greek city of KayakΓΆy, once home to 6,500 people. From here we continue our bike ride to Fethiye where we have the chance to extend our tour by a few kilometres: a small peninsula nearby tempts with its quiet bays and beautiful beaches, perfect for a picturesque swim stop. In the evening we can spend the time exploring the city of Fethiye with its local bazar. The old town, marked by the Eski Cami Mosque is also worth a visit, with its narrow, winding alleyways and the typical corner houses.
Day 7 Fethiye β Saklikent Canyon β Fethiye

A bus transfers (60 min) takes us to Cavdir, the starting point of todayβs cycling tour. From here we bike to the Saklikent Canyon, where we can enjoy lunch on the riverbank. In Turkish βSaklikentβ means βHidden Cityβ. The canyon is spectacular and can easily be explored on foot. Afterwards we continue our cycling tour to KadikΓΆy. From here a short transfer takes us to the ancient town of Tlos which was once one of the largest towns in Lycia. After our visit a transfer takes us to Fethiye.
Day 8 Fethiye (Disembarkation)
After breakfast check-out. On request collective transfer to the airport and individual return home.

Day 2 Fethiye β Saklikent Canyon β Gemiler Bay

Day 4 Sarsala Bay β Dalaman β Dalyan

We then cycle on through a small pass to the estuarial area of the Dalyan delta, where we have lunch in a charming restaurant. From here itβs only a few more kilometres to Dalyan. A small boat takes us passed the impressive rock-cut tombs and the Dalyan delta to our ship, which waits on anchor near a small rocky island.
Day 5 Kaunos β Ekincik β Ciftlik Bay

After breakfast the boat brings us close to the ancient city of Kaunos, the first destination of todayβs bike tour. Day 6 Γiftlik β SerΓ§e LimanΔ± β DatΓ§a

Day 7 DatΓ§a β Knidos

Todayβs bike tour leads us along the DatΓ§a peninsula. The first ascent takes us to a height of 450m before we head back down to the sea. On a clear day it is possible to see the Greek islands Nissyros, Tilos and Rhodes. A scenic road leads first along the coast and then through more rural areas, before taking us to Knidos. After visiting the impressive archaeological site, we stay in one of the most picturesque bays on the Turkish coast.
Day 8 Knidos β Bodrum (Disembarkation)
In the morning we cross over from Knidos to Bodrum. Check-out after breakfast. On request collective group transfer to the airport and individual return home.
Good to know
Itinerary changes: We reserve the right to make alterations to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organizational requirements. Sometimes the tour will be conducted in inverse order. You will find further details in your booking information packet.
Language: Due to our international audience the tours are conducted bilingually, in English and German.
LEVEL 5 /5: Cycling tours through mountainous terrain with some steeper ascents of up to approximately 400 meters. All tours, including the elevation gains, can be mastered more easily with electronic assistance. Requires excellent bike handling, even on descents with steep hairpin turns and unpaved paths.
Distance: 27 β 49 km per day
Total elevation: 300 β 900 meters of elevation per day
Road conditions: The roads are mostly asphalted, but very rough. There is no such thing as smooth asphalt in Turkey. On some stretches of road, you can expect to encounter chippings and small potholes. For this reason, our rental bikes are also equipped with thick tires and suspension to compensate for bumps.
Traffic: Traffic is to be expected within and around coastal towns. 95% of cycle tours lead through rural areas with very little to no traffic.
Infrastructure: There are no designated cycle paths in Turkey; cycling tours take place on public roads, preferably on quiet side roads.
Relevant for all levels: Safe cycling skills and familiarity with road traffic are prerequisites for taking part in our tours. Anyone renting an e-bike should already have experience and be confident in handling e-bikes, as these bikes are significantly heavier and faster than conventional bikes.
Individual cycling: This tour is primarily a guided group tour. Upon consultation with your tour guides, the possibility to cycle on your own along recommended, suitable routes, may present itself. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned bike tour.
Group riding pace: On our e-bike tour programs, the riding pace is determined by the cyclists on the e-bikes. Guests who are taking part on these tours on a gravel bike should have the necessary physical condition to keep up with this pace. We thank you for your understanding.
Requirement to wear a helmet: Helmets are mandatory on our bike tours. It is advised to bring your own, well fitted, helmet with you as our rental helmet numbers are limited (reservation required).
Bringing Children: We believe that only children in a good physical condition and of a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the bike-tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for the bikes/2025: e-bikes we provide is 4.6 ft. (1.50 m)
Catering: The on-board chef is a member of the crew and will prepare breakfast and one warm meal daily. The catering starts with dinner on embarkation day and ends with breakfast on disembarkation day.
Internet availability: Our Turkish boat does not offer a WiFi connection. If you need to connect to the internet during the tour, we recommend bringing your portable electronic device to a cafe or bar somewhere in the harbour. Free WiFi is on offer almost everywhere. If you order something to eat or drink, then you are able to use the WiFi to your hearts content.
