I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and the crew and guide were friendly and helpful.

I was on the Flora, traveling from Koblenz to Merzig in September. The trip was nothing short of fabulous. Fresh air, easy bike rides, interesting towns, beautiful scenery, amazing food, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful crew. We are already looking forward to our next trip with boatandbike!

The boat bike trip between Koblenz and Merzig was a great trip. We made new friends, saw beautiful small villages and amazing vineyards high up the hills. The guide set a good pace for biking and was informative and very helpful with any questions that arose.

Everything about the trip was as I expected, if not better. Our guide went above and beyond. The bike paths and scenery were superb, as was the food and the crew. Absolutely perfect…..I would highly recommend this trip to my friends.

Traveling the Flora is not for the high maintenance, needy and demanding. This is like very fancy camping on a magnificent boat that also serves as someone’s home. You are in someone’s home, being welcomed to their dining room, their living room and their hearts. The ship is efficiently run! The captain is friendly and kind but gives the air (as any good captain should) that this is his boat and his rules. If you are familiar with small boat life you get it. It is a busy life with many parts and pieces. The chef! Junne, what can I say except you can taste her commitment and passion for cooking. My husband and I love variety and flavors and the Flora delivers! Quaint, rustic and nutrient packed dishes were a lovely surprise every day. I was fortunate to spend time with her and wish I had more time. She could easily become a great friend. Berthus, Junne and Christiana were wonderfully kind, generous and great hosts. Hetty, our guide, is the picture of loveliness. She is genuine in her interest of your holiday and eager to help you settle in to your desire for your own holiday expectation. She was helpful and hard working, kind and efficient. I would love to travel with her again. The Flora is cozy and unique. Cabins are clean and well cared for. If you expect all the comforts of a massive cruise this is not your boat, but if you truly want a family home experiencing small boat life in a intimate setting, then Flora and it’s crew are it! We will definitely travel with them again in the future. This morning on our departure as our taxi pulled away, Berthus, Junna, Hetty and Christiana were there behind us waiving good bye. I did not have a tissue for my tears. My only complaint. If the crew makes you fall in love with the country you are visiting, the boat you are traveling on and them, they should make sure you have a tissue for your tears when you depart. Of course the route is beautiful and it was so convenient not to have to pack every day! Beyond that, the food was wonderful…high quality and beautifully prepared. Being able to experience the area on a bike was just terrific!

The captain & staff on the Flora were very accommodating making cruising down the Moselle & Sarr a relaxing & enjoyable experience (9/9-9/16/2023). The captain was not only knowledgeable about the river but also about bicycle. The dinners were like a five star restaurant quality. Can not rave enough about the vegetarian meal that Jonas prepared. The whole boat/bike experience was beyond my expectations. It truly was a memorable holiday that I will be sharing with family & friends for years. The guide Francine even taught me a new game that I can hardly wait to share with my family & friends. Doris Takayama

We had a wonderful experience on the Flora. We rode along the beautiful Mosel River making stops at charming towns along the way. The boat captain, his assistant, our tour guide Francine were terrific. The cook, AMAZING!. We had fabulous meals on the boat. I can honestly recommend this trip to those who love the fresh air and want to spend time touring at a relaxed pace.

This is the way to see Germany, beautiful towns and scenery. Nice friendly staff, always accommodating. Food was excellent. Only suggestion is the last town Merzig was a disappointment. After all the amazing cities and stops, this was a working town with little charm. Any chance to change location?

It’s hard to put into words the wonderful week we have had….from the welcoming hospitality of the crew every day to the incredible nutritious food, and the warm, knowledgeable, clear, concise and patient tour guide Francien and exquisite countryside while biking or staying on the boat…it’s been a magical week and I can not recommend it enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
