it was a well organized bike tour…everything on boat worked well…the staff was very friendly and helpful all around…

I found the cabins somewhat small…but not surprisingly so…the info about the cabins was correct…
the one situation I had problems with was: it was very difficult to get vegetarian and vegan meals. that provided enough protein..it seems to me that the kitchen is not dialed into vegetarian or vegan food…that is what will make me think twice to book a boat-bike tour again.

A very well organised cycle tour combined with excellent accommodation on the boat. The clear and informative presentations and easy to use GPS app combined with good signposting made self guiding very easy. The boat crew were very friendly and helpful.

This was our 3rd boat bike tour. It was our first time to use GUIBO and that was awesome. We would have been lost without it.

The navigation app was wonderful. The meals were great and the crew very helpful, especially the tour leader. A few of the trails were a little difficult for some people.
Timing for everything was very well done
Coming from Canada, where restaurant water is always free from the tap ,it was a little frustrating paying five euros for a litre of water. Up the price of a tour a little bit and don’t charge for water.

The boat Princess had awful showers. hardly any pressure and reverting from freezing cold to scolding hot ! Not what you need aftwer a good day on the bike. Food barely adequate. Seemed precooked and brought on board with sauces added with artistic presentations. Many guests agreed with this as did SE staff.

Our trip from Berlin to Stralsund was really good. The food was excellent. Not one bad meal. The service on board wonderful. However, we feel there needs to be a re-design of the route booklet we followed each day. The street names are not marked on the map itself. Instead they are on an adjacent page written out longhand, which is impossible to follow while biking. Perhaps a side by side design with map on one side and written directions with street names on the other , or street names written boldly on the map. There were many of us along the way on the path considering which way to go. Better would be downloadable bike routes via Google Maps and a spot on the handle bars for a phone. I think the paper map stuck in a pouch under plastic that has to have its pages turned in route is obsolete. No one travels anymore using a paper map. I can see having it as backup in case there is no gps service, but I would have enjoyed the trip so much more had I had a better way to know the path. Some of the paths we were on seemed very rugged and not well maintained. Also, the Princess is an older ship and the rooms have windows that don’t open, and the rooms are a bit stinky of mildew. Our room was above a tank of sorts, so we had sewage smell in our room for days in addition to the mildew smell. The staff worked to help mask it with sprays and other techniques. I won’t travel on an older ship again.

We did the Berlin to Stralsund trip & really enjoyed it. Boat & crew were really good. Don’t expect it to be like a ocean cruise & you’ll not be disappointed. The food was really good, we coughed up the extra for the all inclusive drinks package & thought it good value. The cycle routes were undemanding if you’re a regular cyclist & we’d have preferred a “proper” gravel bike rather than the perfectly OK “touring/town” bike supplied but that’s just a personal preference. All the crew/staff were friendly, polite & helpful. The cycle route guides were comprehensive & easy to follow, plus Rainer gave a exhaustive verbal briefing each morning if you wanted it. All in all we had a great week. Just for info: I’d class it as a holiday with cycling rather a cycling holiday.
