We had a great experience on the Hansa Highlights bike tour. Can t say enough good things about the whole trip and have referred several friends to this company already! We really like the simplicity of this type of trip where everything is planned and you have a floating hotel where you sleep every night. We chose this boat (De Nassau) because it had operable windows in all rooms. The staff on the boat was so friendly and helpful, they really made us feel welcome and provided  over the top service the whole time. The bike tour was great too, as was our tour leader Olga. Having the GPS app guide us through the country was great and simple (for the most part…;-)). The Dutch countryside and waterways are beautiful to ride through. Lots of interesting, historic towns on the route. If you haven t ridden a bike in the Netherlands, you will be amazed at the extensive network of bike paths Everywhere! It s unbelievable even through some fields between towns! Wish we had it in the US. Most of the time you ll ride on a dedicated bike path and at times on a smaller road with cars and a bike path. When you exit and enter towns, especially Amsterdam, there will be interaction with road crossings and bikes zipping around you so you have to be ready for that too, but you get accustomed to it. The food was very good and you pack your lunch to take each day on your ride. Overall we thought the trip was very well organized and great fun and a great value. We met lots of nice folks on the trip too from Holland, Canada, Germany and the US. We d definitely do a trip with Boat Bike Tours again! A couple tips we’d make is to bring a rear view mirror and don’t forget your padded bike shorts!

Great holiday with excellent crew and support staff. The bikes were in great condition and we had no issues with them. The cycling routes are really lovely with the provided maps and instructions clearly leading us through every step. The online app was very beneficial. The only downside was the food. It was ok but relied heavily on sauces and the breakfast buffet was the same every day without much choice to make our packed lunch interesting.

The crew was cheerful and helpful. The bikes were in good working condition. We really liked our guide, she gave information in a engaging way. The food was okay but could improved.

“This was my 5th B/B tour and this trip was a little lower than the others in quality. The crew was fantastic – every one of them – but the food was obviously store-bought instead of being made on-board, the lack of Chef curated meals was obvious to veterans like us. Also – and this is big for many of us – this was supposed to be a bike AND boat tour – but this was a boat/bike/bike/bike tour. Other than the cruise the first day, we did not cruise again!!! We started every day where we stopped the previous evening and never had a chance to enjoy the lovely cruising available on those canals and rivers. Finally, although a lovely, friendly woman, Olga was not “”up-to-par”” with the other tour leaders we have experienced. She tried but just didn’t have the answers to issues or present the daily briefings very effectively. On the other hand, the app is BETTER THAN EVER! Really makes it easy.”

The bike tour itself was well done with GPS guidance. Our e-bikes were fine, the accommodations were cozy but manageable. The food was excellent and the crew did everything they could to give us a great experience. We will use Boat Bike Tours again

The trip met my expectations — a great location, great service from the boat staff.

This is our second time using Boat Bike Tours and last time was great, but this was even better. The most beautiful scenery, forests, castles and a great crew made this a memorable vacation. The ship and food were also excellent. I highly recommend this trip to anyone that enjoys cycling and seeing small villages and castles up close where you feel you are part of the experience not just watching it from a ship or train.

Everything! Ari and all other staff, so welcoming, always helpful, made this trip so enjoyable! The boat and our cabin, so beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. Food was delicious.

Wonderful trip! The crew, the accommodations, the bike route- everything was perfect. It was beyond my hopes. Loved every minute of the week.

Our guide was excellent, the crew was excellent, the food was excellent, and the boat was very comfortable. The only suggestion I would have for improvement would be in the area of the rental bicycles. Our family group had both ebikes and regular bikes and although the crew did their best to make them work, there were challenges.
