Great experience, the combination of sailing, biking, dining and breakfast. Helping to hoist the huge sails was an extra thrill. The self-serve bar gave it an at home feeling. We experienced a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The crew are a very important part of the package. We had an amazing crew, couldn’t have asked for more!!……. Not to forget the beautiful places we visited by bike and boat.

Toured Ijsselmeer on the Leafde fan Fryslan. We had an amazing time with our captain Floris and the entire crew. Everything was well done and the experience was exceptional. We hope to do this again in the future.

Heerlijke week varen en fietsen. Mooi schip, hele fijne bemanning. Super kok. Perfect ontbijt en diner. Texels bier van de tap is heerlijk. Al met al een aanrader.

“My first tour with Boat Bike Tours was on the sailing ship Leafde Fan Frysland, sailing around the Wadden Islands. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing trip with lots of healthy exercise. We sailed between the islands, and had the chance to bike everyday. I loved going off independently, and discovering new beaches and picturesque villages at my own pace. After a day of adventure, it was great to be able to return “”home”” to my cosy cabin and have a piping hot shower, and unwind with a gin and tonic on the deck. We were so well looked after by Florian, the captain, as well as Silvia and Silvio, our hostess and chef. Every night we sat down to elaborate three-course meals, and Silvio made delicious vegetarian versions for me. My highlights were definitely visiting the beautiful island of Vlieland, and the beautiful sailing trips. One day we even had the chance to help hoist the sails! Highly recommended!”

Zeer goed georganiseerd. Prima concept: overdag fietsen, soms varen en altijd lekker eten. Ik vond de prijs-kwaliteit-verhouding ook goed.

We enjoyed the week, staff, accommodation and meals. Due to the changes in cycling routes which occur when sailing, some distances were needed to be covered in a shorter length of time than was comfortable for us. Several guests had ebikes and this was not a problem for them. We didn t. We missed the opportunities to stop and enjoy the scenery or relax with a beer as we did on Magnifique 11. We did have the chance to relax a bit but there was pressure with having to embark at a set time. Would take ebikes next time.

This was our second experience with Boat Bike Tours. A trip on the Fluvius from Bruges to Amsterdam made us eager to sail with this company again. We were expecting a nice trip on the Leafde fan Fryslan, sailing and biking along the coast of the Ijsselmeer. What we experienced was an amazing week with a wonderful crew, a beautiful ship and friendly guests. The beautiful online photos accurately depict this ship. The captain, Floris, was attentive to all our needs, as was the entire crew, Annie, Yorick, Ruben, and guide Paulette. The weather was unusually hot for the Netherlands, necessitating changes in the biking and sailing routes. Floris used his ingenuity and expertise to assure that we were all comfortable and well cared for. The guests standing ovation for the crew at our last meal says it all! This was among the best vacations we have ever had.

We just returned from a week on the Leafde fan Fryslan with Captain Floris, and his crew: Yorick, Ruben, Annie and Paulette. This is our second experience with BoatBike Tours and our first on a sailing vessel. Everything about this trip exceeded our expectations: food, condition of the ship, staterooms, attentiveness of the crew, quality of bike and walking tours and the camaraderie among the guests.The temperature was extremely high for the Netherlands in July. The crew took that into consideration and did everything possible to make our tour enjoyable. We can’t see enough about the excellence of the entire BoatBike Tours experience!

I did this tour as a 79 yr old with my 21 yr grandson. He did the bike routes while I explored on foot. Both of us had a very good time. The crew were fantastic, all of them.
