Enjoyed every minute of it. The boat was very nice and the whole crew very friendly and obliging. The tour leaders were very efficient and when the tour had to be changed from the itinerary due to circumstances beyond their control they quickly found a suitable work around and communicated it very clearly.

Really well organised tour. Bikes great, boat great, staff/crew great but food only okay. (Hence only 4stars)

This was an excellent week’s touring from the warm reception at the beginning to the handshakes and even hugs on departure. The cabins were much better than our previous experience. They are still small but we spent very little time in them. They were thoroughly cleaned and ordered each day. The ship cruising and cycling itinerary were really interesting, scenic, variable and of course the cycling was on such excellent Dutch cycleways.Food and service on board was first class from the breakfast spread to the evening multi course dinner. Beers were reasonable, the house wine OK. THE 2 tour leaders were very helpful and spoke excellent English as did most of the fellow Dutch and German cyclists. The dining room and lounge and deck areas were very spacious, but we were only half full. The dining room would be tighter when full..The bikes were excellent(my wife went the e way and I had just pedal power) and comfortable, and their offloading each day was very efficient. Many bulb fields were still in glorious colour. The cycling took us on dykes, next to canals, lakes, farms, pretty villages, to fascinating museums and historic towns. If we were not so busy this Summer we would be doing it all again.

Another tour with a great pleasure, the guide was excellent and I’ve enjoyed the whole tour and the services on the boat, The crew was pleasant and available. The food also was very good even if it was a bit difficult to make them realise my diet problem the first days.

Afwisselende tocht ( NW Nederland) met door het goede weer een extra positieve inslag. Internationaal gezelschap wat duidelijk niet gewend is aan fietstochten. Bemanning prima en service gericht. Eet tijden en duur mogen wat flexibeler. Onverklaarbaar veel muggen in de kamers. Dat benedendeks de ramen tijdens het varen zijn gesloten is begrijpelijk maar ‘s nachts ligt de boot stil en zou een open raam heel prettig zijn. Nu staat constant de afzuiging/ airco hinderlijk aan. Algemeen: leuke ervaring die zeker voor herhaling vatbaar is.

Wir, d. h. meine Frau und ich, haben die Nord-Hollandtour am 08.08.-15.08.20 an Bord der MS de Holland gemacht. Zunächst sind wir am Anreisetag an die angegebene Liegestelle gegangen, aber das Schiff lag genau an der entgegen gesetzten Pier – ein kleiner Fehler, der dank der Auskunft eines Besatzungsmitglieds des daneben liegenden Schiffes der gleichen Reederei schnell zum richtigen Liegeplatz führte. Die Kabinen sind zwar klein (ca. 10 m²), aber man konnte sich für die Woche ganz gut einrichten. Die Fahrräder waren so weit in Ordnung und wurden vor der ersten Tour auf die jeweils individuellen Maße von seiten der Bordmannschaft eingestellt, kleine Probleme wurden sofort gelöst. Insgesamt ist die Crew hervorzuheben, wo Wünsche oder Probleme auftraten, wurden diese sofort beseitigt. Der Corona-Krise ist es geschuldet, das wir leider in 2 Gruppen zum Essen eingeteilt werden mussten, die im Wechsel jeweils früh oder etwas später essen konnten, dieser Turnus wurde dann aber täglich gewechselt, so dass man also nicht jeden Tag ganz früh aufstehen musste. Leider durfte das Essen nicht in Büffetform durchgeführt werden, das ist auch der einzige Kritikpunkt, es gab jeden Tag leider ein ziemlich gleichförmiges Frühstück! Im Gegensatz dazu war das Abendessen an jedem Abend (3-Gänge-Menü) hervorragend, wir staunten selbst, was in der kleinen Kombüse so alles her zu richten möglich war. Aber alles in allem stimmt das Konzept und wenn man mal das Land “durchradeln” möchte, so ist das bestimmt etwas Ansprechendes. Toll war in diesem Zusammenhang auch die GPS-Streckenführung, die via Smartphone möglich war und uns immer auf dem rechten Weg hielt. Vielen Dank auch an die sehr kompetente Reiseleitung, es waren Saskia und Margaret, die eine tollen Job gemacht haben. Die Stadtführungen waren sehr interessant und ansprechend gestaltet, man konnte so manch Wissenswertes erfahren. Wir halten es mit dem berühmten (rosa-roten) Paul-Panther-Spruch: Es ist noch nicht aller Tage, wir kommen wieder, keine Frage!

Great Experience, North of Holland is so beautiful and visiting it with the tour was a very good decision. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended tour. Well planned routes, good bike, good food, good accommodations. I loved North Holland.

A superb trip. Barge and crew first rate! Exceeded all our expectations. Special accolade to Pieter our guide and tour host who did a wonderful job. We will definitely be doing another Bike barge tour!
