At Boat Bike Tours we’re always busy coming up with new ideas, even during these uncertain times. Travel is in our blood! Sitting at home and waiting until the storm has passed isn’t our style; even now we just can’t sit still. We want to plan for the future!

And we’re not the only ones feeling that restlessness to travel. That’s why we’re sharing some of our plans for 2021 with you:

Plan your trip

1. Luxury trip to three countries

This pampering trip starts in the most romantic part of Germany’s Moselle Valley. We welcome you on board our premium ship Princesse Royal in Cochem, before taking you on a journey through three countries along the fairytale Moselle river. From your seat on deck you’ll enjoy a unique view of the valley slopes dotted with vineyards and castles. Each day offers a new bike ride through historic landscapes full of cultural monuments, picturesque towns and natural beauty.

Discover the ancient Roman city of Trier, marvel at the waterfall in Saarburg city center and taste fabulous local Riesling wines along the way. The tour continues through the Duchy of Luxembourg, a melting pot of cultures in the heart of Europe, and into the French region of Lorraine. Your journey ends in the Carolingian city of Metz, where the mighty Saint-Étienne cathedral dominates the city panorama. You can also travel this tour in the reverse direction.

2. The splendid mix of Friesland

When you think of Friesland, do you think of Friesian cows and not much else? There’s much more to be discovered in Friesland! During our new 8-day tour through the province, you’ll explore a diverse landscape of protected natural parks, part of the Natura 2000 network with lakes, marshland, tiny fishing villages, and historic towns. You’ll cross the Wadden Sea (UNESCO-listed) to the barrier island of Terschelling. The National Park De Alde Feanen is spectacular, with its lakes and more than 400 different plant species. You’ll visit the Eise Eisinga Planetarium in Franeker, the oldest planetarium in the world. The Lena Maria, is your comfortable accommodation on this tour.

3. New year, new ship

It’s always a very special event when a new ship joins our fleet. That’s why we’re already looking forward to welcoming De Willemstad, which will sail our Northern Tour of Holland from 2021. With her 48 cabins, the De Willemstad belongs to our larger ship family, like the De Amsterdam, De Holland and De Nassau. With her authentic style and contemporary interior, the Willemstad is a perfect match for her big sisters.

You’ll feel immediately welcome as soon as you enter the reception hall. Cabins on De Willemstad are each equipped with two single beds, which can be folded away during the day for more space. And as on all our ships, each cabin has its own bathroom with shower and toilet.

From the upper deck with lounge and bar there’s a fantastic panoramic view of the landscape. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the spacious restaurant where you’ll enjoy not only delicious food but also great views of passing scenery. And the large, partly covered sun terrace offers plenty of space for comfortable relaxation.

4. A whole ship for your group

Want to book a whole ship for your own group of family or friends? Then now’s the time to start planning! The sooner you’re involved, the more we can organise for you. If you travel with at least 20 people, then we can reserve a whole ship exclusively for you. An anniversary, family reunion, cycling club vacation, or trip with colleagues – just tell us what you’d like. The possibilities are endless!

5. Short trips for people with joie de vivre

In 2021 we welcome you on board one of our premium ships to join us on a journey along cultural and natural highlights of the Netherlands and/or Belgium. New? Not really. We’ve been offering the route between Amsterdam and Bruges for several years now. In fact, it’s one of our most popular tours, but those who prefer a shorter trip can choose a 4 or 5-day tour from Amsterdam to Antwerp or from Antwerp to Bruges. In the other direction is also an option, of course. You’ll travel luxuriously with the Magnifique II or the Magnifique III.

We’re happy to help!
