Finally, the time has come: the first Boat Bike Tours trips of the season started on June 12! We are very happy with that! It is now possible to travel overland within the EU and some associated countries (including Switzerland and Norway) without a Covid test nor quarantine when entering the EU and before returning home. The European Union now also allows USA residents to enter the EU without restrictions. This brings us many super last-minute bookings.
To make last minute bookings even more attractive and to optimize the capacity utilization of our ships in July, we are extending the 25% discount promotion for all new bookings until the end of July for all voyages that start before August 1:
- A customer receives a 25% discount on the regular travel sum (cabin price).
- This discount promotion is only valid for new bookings up to and including July 31, 2021 for a trip with a start date before August 1, 2021.
- This discount promotion only applies to trips for which Boat Bike Tours is the organizing tour operator, except for the tours in Germany with the ship Patria.
When booking via the partner login, please enter the “Coupon Code” OPENUP21 for the 25% discount.
Ship changes in 2021
The cruise industry is slowly starting to resume operations in many countries and areas. Unfortunately, in many cases this is not possible in 100% the same way as in “normal” times, because – to make this possible – the original planning must be adjusted here and there for various reasons.
Unfortunately, this is also the case with Boat Bike Tours. Due to the pandemic and long-term travel restrictions, bookings have been delayed for a long time. That is why the originally planned capacities do not always match the current situation. Also, at Boat Bike Tours this means that unfortunately for some tours we had to re-plan ships to other routes to optimize capacities and resume operations.
In short, the most important changes for 2021 are:
The large vessel De Willemstad (96 pass.), planned for 2021, will not yet be deployed in 2021.
Instead, the smaller De Holland 2021 will be deployed again on the Northern Tour (North Holland & Friesland). Until 2020 she was the “permanent” ship on this route. De Willemstad will now operate the Northern Tour for the first time in 2022.
In 2021, instead of the De Holland, the smaller vessels Fluvius and Sir Winston will carry out our Hansa Highlights Tour. De Holland will do the Hansa Tour in 2022.
For a couple of tour dates on the tours between Amsterdam and Bruges, as well as for some tours in France, we had to combine the departures of some ships and barges.
Each guest or partner to whom a change applies will be personally informed by us.
Our 2022 season is already 100% bookable: see website and partner login.
