We biked down the Mosel River Oct 7, 2025 and had a wonderful experience! Our guides were knowledgeable, fun and always available. The boat crew were friendly and met our every need. We met people from all over the world. We ate wonderfully prepared breakfasts and dinners on board and packed our lunches for bike picnics. We couldn t have been happier with our entire experience& what a unique way to experience new countries!
The route from Metz to Cochem is rich with spectacular views of vineyards and castles, and we had lunch stops in charming villages along the way. We got to visit local wineries and taste their excellent German wines. Cycling across the vineyards in their fall colours, and touring historic sites such as the cathedral at Metz, the Roman gate of Trier, and Cochem’s hilltop castle were highlights.
We absolutely loved our trip from Metz to Cochem. October is a beautiful month to cycle through the vineyards along the river. The colors are breathtaking.
The whole team made our trip special! We loved the character and creativity of the team!
First, the Magnifique III was gorgeous and our suite was beautiful. Second, our guides Lia and Meika were fun, competent, and always friendly. Third, the food was delicious and elegant. The cycling route was scenic and interesting. We had a wonderful time and hope to travel with your company again:)
Everything about this trip was great. Highly recommend it to others. Only advice I would give it to let cyclist know how steep some rides will be. Everone knows there a huge difference between a 13.5% grade and a 6% even if on an eBike.
From the moment we stepped on board we were treated to great service and food. Our guides, Corrie and Mieke, lead us well and had a fun sense of humor, the crew worked hard to keep everything running smoothly, our chef fixed delicious meals nightly and of course our Captain kept us safely on course! I rented an ebike and I had never used one before. I enjoyed riding it. I was in a single cabin and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was and I didn t feel cramped. The only thing I would suggest is adding a small shelf or corner shelf by the outlet and head of the bed because the single cabin doesn t allow for a side table. All in all, I had a great time and met wonderful people.
Great routes, boat, crew staff food and scenery. Wonderful way to experience a part of Europe you d never get to on your own. We used regular bikes and enjoyed the routes each day. I found the bike guides catered to the lowest common denominator which ended up being someone who had no business being on a bike tour even with an w bike. We were not highly skilled cyclists but had to go on our own as the groups on e bikes took so many stops and a very slow route. They had 2 guides- should have had a slow group and a regular group vs. just a big slow group. But we learned how to use Ride with GPS and self guided ourselves through the entirety. We still made all the stops but would have been more fun with others. E bikes are good for some but we saw many on our trip who hadn t ridden a bike let alone an e bike in years and it really changed the trip. We are mid 60s so not spring chickens. But the scenery, boat, boat staff and food were wonderful.
We really enjoyed the adventure! Our guides were stellar. Both ladies were professional, caring and well organized. The team on board worked hard to make sure we were informed and taken care of throughout the trip. The only negative feedback is about the manual bicycles, with only 7 gears it was difficult to keep up with the electric bikers and almost everyone was on an e-bike, even though we were in great condition my wife and I both ended up switching to e-bikes. The boat was well appointed and the food was very good (with a couple of exceptions). Overall we had a great time and are probably going to book another trip at some point.
Guides were amazing, as was the crew. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The noise levels at meals were painfully loud. The food was good, but less wonderful than we have experienced on our previous trip. Almost as if the food budget had been reduced.
Enthusiastic crew and bicycle condition. Upper rooms on boat were spacious and clean.professional friendly guides Some caveats – large client size (40) meant little time for stops and town visits during the day. Biking was mostly riding along the river, so repetitive over the week. I would do a boat/bike cruise again, but only in a smaller capacity boat with more local color and time in smaller villages.
All the staff were professional, friendly and capable. The ship was comfortable, the food delicious and the Mosel River route was most enjoyable
