Cochem to Metz, the last trip of the season. The trip routes were scenic and enjoyable. Distances to be covered were reasonable for relaxed touring with well-spaced comfort stops. Both tour guides were excellent: knowledgeable and enthusiastic and always willing to help. The ‘extra’ experiences were very enjoyable. The food was overall high quality. However, the breakfasts lacked the hot food selection of past trips. This made the choices for breakfast and lunch almost the same for the entire trip. Cheese and cold cuts sandwiches every day. Overall, the experience of the trip was still very positive. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. We always felt well cared for. The Magnifique I was not as spacious as the Magnifique III. The cabin lacked the shelving along the walls and the closet was too small for the clothes hangers. The deck wasn’t as spacious and lacked the lounging area around the stern.

I can t speak highly enough of my recent Boat Bike tour down the Moselle. Staff and guides were fabulous, cabin was really comfortable and roomy and food was exceptional.

Fantastic! Fabulous! Superb! Excellent! Outstanding! I m running out of superlatives to describe the boat, the crew, the itinerary and the guides on this trip from Cochem to Metz and back on the Magnifique III. The boat is comfortable and well maintained; the meals were tasty; the crew was friendly and helpful; the route was scenic; and the guides went the proverbial  Second Mile for guests on several occasions. A special thanks to the guides for making this trip extra special.

The boat was great. Clean and spacious with lots of public areas to gather. Bikes were well maintained and easy to ride. The weather created issues that the crew and tour guides successfully worked around. The food was great and well presented. The bar was pretty well stocked and the drinks well priced.

While the weather was not our friend, our guides and captain never missed a beat. Changes in plans were made quickly and looked effortless. Thanks to the staff’s experience and attitude, the boat was a happy home during our tour.

We loved everything about our first bike and barge. The staff is a-one.

Our second cruise with Boat Bike Tours surpassed our first. We completed the 9 day Cochem to Metz tour, and really loved visiting the little towns along the beautiful Moselle and returning to our luxurious home for the week, Magnifique III. Although one of our riding days was cut because river flooding closed the locks and the ship could not sail on the scheduled day (circumstances such as this can affect any bike tour on the planet nowadays due to the changing climate), our hard-working Guides and Captain ensured that we would still be able to see the major highlights of the program, including our wonderful guide, Ingrid, leading us through Bernkastel on foot in the evening, and our intrepid guide, Tom, navigating around flooded bike paths. We enjoyed a warm welcome aboard the ship, and dined like royalty on the wonderful 3-course meals prepared by Juul. We know how hard he worked as our cabin was directly under the kitchen, and know full well that he was working before we were out of bed every day. We enjoyed the intimacy of the smaller number of guests onboard, and appreciated the round-the-circle introductions to one another on the first night aboard. All of you at Boat Bike Tours do a great job setting up wonderful programs for some very special vacations.

Amazing trip. Great food, guides and beautiful ship. The bike route and towns were perfect and entire staff was awesome. Booking next years trip already!

Fabulous staff / very professional tour. Clean well presented boat.Food lovely .Rides and sightseeing really enjoyable. Some confusion for me when I was in the planning stage as it was was not clear to me initially from paperwork that we were already organised by Boat Bike to stay in a Metz Hotel pre cruise and I had incorrectly made my own accomodation booking.

The crew was excellent. The Magnifique III is a very comfortable boat. Food was terrific. Guides were knowledgeable and fun.

Extremely well organized and accommodations were comfortable and nice. The dinners were exceptional. The crew and tour guides were attentive, enthusiastic and pleasant. This was our 3rd trip with Boat Bike Tours and we were not disappointed.

“Overall Comments The scenery was amazing, our junior suite very nice. However, we didn’t have air conditioning for two days, so the great crew improvised with a portable system. On the evening we were getting packed up to go home, the plumbing system backed up and our room was flooded. The bikes were in great shape. The food amazing. The captain and entire crew were gracious and kind. I’d like to suggest to the bike ride leaders, that on the first night they find out who has never ridden before. I sustained a very bad fall – due to the fact that people weren’t calling out “”stop”” “”slowing””,””turning””, etc. With 16 bikes in a row, you just can’t anticipate what is going on. Maybe the less skilled riders could go with one leader for first couple of days until they learn the etiquette of riding.”
